Mourinho quoting Einstein Trade Group: tamed reporters attempt

Trade Group (El Comercio, Perú21, Trome, América TV, Canal N, etc.) by all means try to practice a dictatorship information to support Fujimori. The Institute for Press and Society (IPYS) has said.

The Institute for Press and Society (IPYS) rejects firing of journalists Trade Group for political reasons and supports the plurality of information on TV.

IPYS The Board of Directors has decided to speak in the following terms relating to the role of media in general elections:

1. IPYS is receiving ongoing inquiries and orders ruling by journalists facing ethical dilemmas in their media coverage related to the election. In the current context, most print media has sided with one of the presidential candidates, while the radio and television there is a climate of greater plurality of information.
2. First, this statement seeks to remind reporters that our first responsibility is to report above their own political convictions or owners of media scrutiny this involves both candidates and not just one, and the two parts of the electoral dispute should be as far as possible equal opportunities to display their views. Without discussing the media's right to decide its own hotline, IPYS believes that in this electoral process they should not be vehicles for propaganda or campaign work for the party. IPYS understands and sympathizes with journalists who believe that this policy is not practiced by their means, and urges them to defend their views in the established channels.
3. IPYS is concerned about the Panel's decision to discipline the trade means to support their campaign informationally Keiko Fujimori. We call their managers maintaining independence by the importance that this consortium national resources market. IPYS, which is persecuted in Venezuela by Hugo Chavez's regime, it seems useful to recall the error made by the mainstream media in that country to become political actors, affecting its credibility and making a poor favor democracy.
4. IPYS deplores the firing of journalists Patricia Montero and Jose Jara, N. Canal producers IPYS considers that the measures are politically motivated as part of the new editorial line of The Trade Group, and should be just checked the independence of these journalists. IPYS sympathizes with them and share the discomfort caused layoffs among their colleagues.
5. IPYS believes in self-regulation, and believes that any attempt to control media content by any external mechanism is contrary to freedom of expression. However, radio and TV law says that the provision of broadcasting services is governed, among other principles, by respect for the pluralism and freedom of accurate and impartial. Principles that are required of operators because the state granted to use the airwaves, a resource for all Peruvians. Thus, these media are more ethically bound print newspapers to exercise quality journalism, independent and pluralistic, oblivious to the commercial and political interests of the companies that hold the concession. As it should be overseen by the rest of media, civil society organizations and independent journalists as IPYS.
6. IPYS regrets that so far the presidential candidate Ollanta Humala and Keiko Fujimori failed to show any interest in answering questions about freedom of expression they were raised by IPYS. We believe that both should specify key aspects of its policy and will be waiting on Friday April 29 at noon in the local IPYS, with the presence of national and international guests. IPYS coordinate with the Peruvian Press Council, to give your event the most widespread and representative.
